While shopping for a doggie present for my sister’s dog Opie, I looked far and wide but couldn’t find anything better than the same boring and stale dog treats that have been probably sitting on the shelves of supermarkets and drug stores for months and are made with who-knows-what. Opie’s a good boy, and deserves a lot better.
Thanks to Jena for writing in and telling me about a really special, brand new online shop for modern pets (and people) called the Fun Time Dog Shop!
The shop is full of high quality doggie treats (Your dog can enjoy such delicacies as Salmon Sushi Rolls or the cutest doggie biscuits you’ve ever seen).
There are also amazingly interactive toys & accessories, such as a dog brick puzzle which looks like a lot of fun for both you and your dog (and if you have friends with dogs, why not make things interesting by running some dog competitions :)).
But the truly special part is Sarah, the owner, is donating all profits from the shop to non-profit dog rescue groups to help some of the over 6 million dogs who are homeless and placed in shelters or with rescue groups each year.

I bought Salsa and Baby Salsa for my two dogs. One is an 80 lb. lab mix and the other is 45 lb lab mix. They have had many great games of tug-a-war and the Salsas have held up beautifully.
Another item we just tried are the Buckarooz Antlers. My dogs are big chewers and these have lasted really well.
It can be a terrifying thing to have a new puppy.
I found FunTimeDogShop.com through a friend. There is noting like Sarah’s knowledge of her products — she recommended items I would never have selected –all to the delight of my puppy (and older dog, too).
Sarah put together a “puppy package” for me — and I got hooked! Now whenever my dogs are starting to overwhelm me, I ask Sarah for advice. I have not been disappointed.
FunTimeDogShop.com also sells great items for dog owners. I found a great leash that is so comfy on my hands — the hand part is fleece-lined. Nice!
All the dog toys are well-made and have stayed intact — but beware of those squeaking toys! You are about to be serenaded!!
